Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) has launched **A Dubai Invite**, a new initiative that lets eligible UAE residents nominate friends and family travelling to Dubai. After a nominated visitor’s arrival is verified, the resident can receive hotel, dining, attraction and transport benefits valued at more than **AED 3,000**.

The benefit is **not cash** for either the resident or the visitor. It is a package of partner offers subject to availability, blackout dates and individual redemption terms.

## Who can take part?

The initiative is open to UAE citizens and residents aged 18 or older with a valid Emirates ID. Their nominated friends or relatives must not reside in the UAE and must enter Dubai by air, sea or road on a tourist visa—or qualify for a visa on arrival—between **20 July and 31 October 2026**.

The campaign does not arrange visas, flights or accommodation. Visitors should confirm their entry requirements using the [official Dubai tourist visa guide](https://www.visitdubai.com/en/plan-your-trip/visa-information).

## How to nominate a visitor

Residents should use the [official A Dubai Invite nomination form](https://www.visitdubai.com/en/invite/nomination) by **30 September 2026**, before their guest arrives. Up to five visitors can be included in one submission, with additional submissions allowed. Each visitor can be nominated only once. Visitors nominated by the cutoff may arrive through 31 October.

After DET verifies an eligible visitor’s arrival, the resident receives an email explaining how to redeem the package. Each resident can receive up to **three benefit packages**, generally valid until **31 December 2026** unless an individual offer states otherwise.

## Why Dubai is involving residents

The initiative turns the UAE’s international resident community into a network of city ambassadors. It follows a record year for Dubai tourism: the [Dubai Media Office’s official tourism report](https://www.mediaoffice.ae/en/news/2026/february/09-02/dubais-tourism-industry-achieves-third-successive-record-breaking-year) says the emirate welcomed **19.59 million international overnight visitors in 2025**, up 5% from 2024.

Residents with friends or relatives planning a trip can review the [official campaign details](https://www.visitdubai.com/en/invite) and submit their nomination before the visitor arrives.
