**Ajman Bank** is trimming one of the **ULTRACASH Credit Card's** headline perks. From **1 October 2026**, the monthly cashback cap on **supermarket** and **online** spending drops from **AED 200 to AED 100** per category. Everything else about the card stays the same.

## What's changing

Only two categories are affected — and only their caps, not the rates:

- **Supermarket:** still 5% cashback, but the monthly cap falls from AED 200 to **AED 100**.
- **Online spends:** still 5% cashback, but the monthly cap falls from AED 200 to **AED 100**.

Left untouched: the **5% fuel** cashback (AED 400 cap), the **5% school-fees** cashback (AED 200 cap), and **1%** on everything else. The change takes effect on 1 October 2026 — until then, the AED 200 caps still apply.

## What it means for your wallet

The caps only bite if you spend heavily in these categories. At 5%, you now hit the new AED 100 cap at **AED 2,000** of monthly spend — it used to take AED 4,000 to reach the old AED 200 ceiling.

- **Supermarket:** spend AED 4,000 in a month → cashback was AED 200, now **AED 100**.
- **Online:** spend AED 4,000 in a month → cashback was AED 200, now **AED 100**.

If you regularly max out both categories, that's up to **AED 200 less each month** — around AED 2,400 a year.

## Cards that earn more on groceries and online

Once the ULTRACASH cap drops to AED 100 a month per category, a dedicated cashback card can earn you far more on the same spend. A few worth comparing:

**Groceries (supermarket)**

- [**Al Hilal Cashback**](https://kredit.ae/credit-cards/al-hilal-cashback-credit-card/details) — 5% back on groceries, up to AED 500 cashback a month.
- [**ADIB Cashback Covered**](https://kredit.ae/credit-cards/adib-cashback-covered-credit-card/details) — 4% back on groceries, up to AED 300 a month.

**Online spends**

- [**SIB Cashback**](https://kredit.ae/credit-cards/sib-cashback-credit-card/details) — 10% back on online and digital-wallet spends, up to AED 300 a month.
- [**Emirates Islamic Flex Elite**](https://kredit.ae/credit-cards/emirates-islamic-flex-elite-credit-card/details) — 2.5% back on online spends, up to AED 500 a month.

**One card for both**

- [**Liv Cashback Plus**](https://kredit.ae/credit-cards/liv-cashback-plus-credit-card/details) — flat cashback on everything, groceries and online included: 1% up to AED 7,000 of monthly spend, 2% from AED 7,000, and 4% once you spend AED 15,000+ a month, up to AED 1,500 cashback a month. For heavy spenders it clears the new ULTRACASH caps comfortably.
- [**Liv Cashback**](https://kredit.ae/credit-cards/liv-cashback-credit-card/details) — a lighter version earning up to 2% flat, with a lower fee.

## What to do

- **Check your statements.** If you rarely spend above AED 2,000 a month on groceries or online, nothing changes for you.
- **Split heavy spend.** Once you hit the new AED 100 cap, put extra supermarket or online spend on a second cashback card.
- **Compare before you switch.** [Review the full Ajman Bank ULTRACASH details](https://kredit.ae/credit-cards/ajman-bank-ultracash-credit-card/details) or [compare cards side by side](https://kredit.ae/credit-cards/calculator) to see what fits your spending.

The ULTRACASH card still earns 5% across fuel, supermarket, online and school fees, carries a AED 300 annual fee with no joining fee, and needs a AED 10,000 minimum salary — so it remains a strong everyday cashback option, just with a lower ceiling on two categories.
