Aura is the loyalty programme of Alshaya Group, the franchise operator behind H&M, American Eagle, Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Works, Boots, Shake Shack, The Cheesecake Factory and Starbucks in the UAE. Members earn Aura Points at the till and spend them back at the same brands.

Mashreq issues three Aura credit cards on Mastercard: Aura, Aura World and Aura World Elite. Each pays cashback as Aura Points on every eligible spend, at its highest rate inside Alshaya's own brands, plus an instant discount at the counter.

## How it works

Aura Points are Alshaya's points currency, spent back at participating brands. The Mashreq Aura cards pay a percentage of spend as Aura Points. At participating Aura brands the card pays 4%, 6% or 8% depending on the card, and Aura adds tier cashback on top: 3% for Star and 4% for VIP members, and 2% for Hello members on the Aura card. Domestic grocery earns 3%, 4% or 5%, other spend 0.75%, 1% or 1.25%, and government, utilities, education, charity, fuel, rental, telecom and transport 0.25%.

Points earned outside Alshaya still only spend at Aura brands, so the cards suit a household that already shops there.

## Tiers

- **Mashreq Aura Credit Card** — minimum salary AED 5,000. 4% as Aura Points at Aura brands, 3% on grocery, no annual fee
- **Mashreq Aura World Credit Card** — minimum salary AED 10,000. 6% as Aura Points at Aura brands, 4% on grocery
- **Mashreq Aura World Elite Credit Card** — minimum salary AED 25,000. 8% as Aura Points at Aura brands, 5% on grocery

## Redemption

Redeem Aura Points at participating Aura brands; the Aura app shows the balance. Points have no cash value, cannot be moved to another programme, and expire 12 months after they are credited. Card cashback reaches the Aura account within 7 working days of the transaction posting.
