Stop guessing on credit cards

Tell us how you actually spend. We’ll pick the one UAE card that wins on rewards, perks and fees.

UAE Credit Card Finder

How the Kredit Card Picker works

The Card Picker scores your real monthly spending — groceries, fuel, dining, online, travel — against every credit card available in the UAE. In about two minutes you get the single best card for your profile, with the estimated AED value it returns and the eligibility requirements upfront.

  1. Tell us your monthly spend. Set a rough monthly figure for the categories that matter to you — we don't need exact numbers.
  2. Pick the perks that matter. Choose airport lounge access, hotel stays, dining offers, golf, cinema, gym memberships, and the other perks you want the card to bundle in.
  3. Get your single best-match card with expected AED returns. We show the one card that earns you the most at your spend, the estimated annual value it returns, and the eligibility requirements upfront.

Inside the matching engine

What the picker considers

The pick isn't a vibe — it's the output of a model that scores every UAE card against your profile across six dimensions. Here's exactly what goes in.

Your monthly spending breakdown

We weigh every spend category you fill in — not just the headline figures. A card returning 5% on groceries but capping at AED 200/month behaves differently for AED 1,000 of grocery spend versus AED 5,000. The picker models the actual capture, not the marketing rate.

Category bonus rates and monthly caps

Bonus rates rarely apply to unlimited spend. We model the per-category monthly cap on every UAE card so the value we attribute to a card is what you'd really earn — not the headline percentage on every dirham.

Your specific merchants

When a category has multiple merchant brands — Carrefour vs Lulu for groceries, Talabat vs Deliveroo for dining, Amazon.ae vs Noon for retail — the picker asks which ones you actually use. Some cards reward Carrefour but not Lulu, or Talabat but not Deliveroo; we route your spend to the merchants you named so the rewards we attribute are the ones you'd really earn.

Annual fees and waiver thresholds

A high-reward card with a steep annual fee can lose to a no-fee card at your spend level. We net the fee out of each card's value score. For cards with conditional fee waivers — spend-threshold, salary-link, or bundled-plan pricing like Wio's — the engine evaluates both waiver and non-waiver states and keeps whichever scores better for your profile.

Eligibility — salary and nationality

There's no point recommending a card you can't get. The picker hard-filters out any card whose salary minimum exceeds yours, or whose terms block your nationality. Other eligibility constraints — residency, age, employment type — are surfaced on the recommended card so you can rule it out before applying.

Spend taxonomy

The 10 categories the quiz asks about

The picker asks you to pick at least three of these categories and give a rough monthly figure for each. Every one maps directly to how UAE cards reward, so the numbers you provide translate cleanly into the engine's value calculation. For broad categories like Retail, Dining, and Grocery, a follow-up step asks which specific merchants you spend with so the engine can match cards with the right merchant partnerships.

Grocery

Carrefour, Lulu, Spinneys, Choithrams, Union Coop, Kibsons

Dining

Talabat, Noon Food, Deliveroo, Careem Food, sit-down restaurants, coffee shops

Fuel

ENOC, ADNOC, EPPCO petrol stations

Retail

Electronics, fashion, pharmacy, cosmetics — in-store or online (Amazon.ae, Noon, Sharaf DG)

Utilities

DEWA, SEWA, FEWA, Etisalat, du, telecom bills

Transportation

Salik tolls, Nol top-ups, Careem, Uber, RTA taxis

Travel

Flights, hotels, car rental, airport lounges

Entertainment

Cinema, theatres, concerts, attractions

Real Estate

Rent payments, mortgage repayments

Education

School fees, university tuition, training courses

Want to model the maths yourself rather than answer questions? The Cashback Calculator runs the same engine against any cards you've already shortlisted.

Worked examples

What the picker matches for real spend profiles

Five common UAE spend shapes and the type of card the picker tends to surface for each. The live engine always uses current bank terms — these are illustrative.

Profile

The grocery-heavy family

Spend shape

Roughly AED 3,000–5,000/month on supermarkets, AED 1,000–2,000 on fuel, weekend dining, school fees once a year.

What the picker tends to surface

A grocery-led cashback card with a healthy monthly cap, layered with a fuel category bonus — typically a no-fee or low-fee tier so the cashback isn't eroded.

Typical value

Hundreds of dirhams of monthly cashback when both the grocery and fuel categories are hitting their bonus tiers.

Profile

The frequent diner

Spend shape

AED 1,500–3,000/month split across Talabat, Deliveroo, and sit-down restaurants, plus weekend coffee runs and small grocery top-ups.

What the picker tends to surface

A dining-focused rewards card — often with food-delivery partnerships layered on top of the base dining rate, sometimes paired with a complimentary 2-for-1 dining programme.

Typical value

A strong cashback or rewards rate on dining — typically the highest category rate the card offers — before annual fees, plus dining-perk value if the card bundles a 2-for-1 programme.

Profile

The miles-collector traveller

The perks that matter to you

Airport lounge access, hotel stays, dining offers, golf, cinema, gym memberships, airport transfers, valet parking, concierge, bundled subscriptions — the 10 perks you can flag are added to a card's score (each weighted by its annual allowance and per-use value). A card that bundles your top perks can beat one that wins on rewards alone.

Spend shape

Mid-to-high salary, AED 2,000–5,000/month on Travel (flights, hotels, car rental), two long-haul trips a year. Picks airport lounge access and hotel stays as the perks that matter.

What the picker tends to surface

A premium miles card (often Visa Infinite or World Elite tier) with complimentary lounge access through a major network like LoungeKey, DragonPass, or Priority Pass, plus a meaningful welcome bonus in miles.

Typical value

Tens of thousands of miles a year at typical spend, plus the lounge-access savings on every airport visit — the picker shows the exact miles/AED on the recommended card.

Profile

The online shopper

Spend shape

AED 2,000–4,000/month on Retail, mostly online (Amazon.ae, Noon, ASOS, Sharaf DG); minimal in-store spend. The merchant follow-up surfaces which platforms they shop with.

What the picker tends to surface

A card with a Retail-category bonus that recognises the user's online merchants, often paired with a low foreign-transaction rate so cross-border online purchases don't bleed value back out.

Typical value

A meaningful Retail-category bonus — typically among the highest rates the card offers — and sometimes amplified by rotating promotions with specific merchants.

Profile

The first-time UAE cardholder

Spend shape

New UAE resident, AED 7,000–10,000/month salary, evenly split across groceries, dining, telecoms and DEWA.

What the picker tends to surface

A no-annual-fee, low-salary-threshold cashback card with broad category coverage rather than a niche specialist — easier to qualify for with limited UAE credit history.

Typical value

A few hundred dirhams of annual cashback while you build credit history, with no fee to recoup before you break even.

Card Picker — Frequently asked questions

Everything to know about the Kredit Card Picker before you start.

Tell us roughly how much you spend each month across the categories that matter — Grocery, Dining, Fuel, Retail, Utilities, Transportation, Travel, Entertainment, Real Estate, Education — and the perks you care about. Our matching engine scores every UAE credit card in our catalogue against your profile and returns the single best-match card — the one that nets you the most in cashback, points, or miles at your spend.

About two minutes. The flow is 6 to 8 short questions depending on which categories and perks you select — most people finish under 120 seconds.

Yes, the recommendation is free to run. Kredit earns a referral fee from the bank if you choose to apply through us — never from you. The pick itself is independent of which card pays what.

Every major UAE issuer in our reviewed catalogue — Emirates NBD, Liv, ADCB, Mashreq, ADIB, FAB, RAKBANK, HSBC, Citi, DIB, Emirates Islamic, CBD, Wio, Ruya, Al Hilal, Aafaq, Ajman Bank, Invest Bank. Browse the full set at /credit-cards or by issuer at /banks.

Your quiz answers stay with Kredit — we don't forward any of the figures or perk choices you typed in to the banks. If you click Apply on the recommended card, you're sent to the bank's own application page where the bank handles its own KYC; we pass attribution parameters with the click (so the bank knows the lead came from Kredit) but not your spend or perk profile.

The picker chooses the card by the value it returns on your spend, but approval is the bank's decision. We hard-filter cards whose salary minimum exceeds yours or whose terms block your nationality, and we surface each card's salary threshold, residency, age, and employment-type requirements so you can rule it out before you apply.

Ten top-level categories: Grocery, Dining, Fuel, Retail, Utilities, Transportation, Travel, Entertainment, Real Estate, and Education. For broad categories with sub-merchants — Grocery (Carrefour / Lulu / Spinneys / Choithrams / Union Coop / Kibsons), Dining (Talabat / Deliveroo / Noon Food / dine-out / coffee shops), Retail (online platforms like Amazon.ae and Noon, plus in-store electronics, fashion, pharmacy, cosmetics) — a follow-up step asks which specific merchants you spend with so the picker matches cards that have those partnerships.

The picker nets each card's annual fee out of its value score, so a high-reward card with a steep fee can lose to a no-fee card at your spend level. For cards with conditional fee waivers — spend-threshold waivers, salary-link waivers, or bundled-plan pricing like Wio's — we evaluate both waiver and non-waiver states and keep whichever scores better for your profile. One-off welcome bonuses aren't factored into the ranking today; the picker optimises for sustainable annual value rather than first-year sweeteners.

Yes — the picker remembers your progress, so you can come back, tweak any answer, and resubmit. The recommendation updates against the latest UAE card data and your new spend profile.

Yes. The picker filters out any card whose salary minimum exceeds yours, so you'll only see cards you can potentially apply for at your income level. Cards with high salary thresholds (premium and Visa Infinite tiers) usually want an established income, so new residents typically match to no-annual-fee or entry-tier cards that are also better suited for building UAE credit history.

You see the single best-match card with its full benefit summary, the estimated AED value it returns at your spend, the card's eligibility requirements (salary, residency, age, employment type), and a direct apply link to the bank. You can also email the recommendation to yourself or download it as a PDF for later.

You can run the quiz anonymously — progress saves to your device, not an account. Before the recommendation is generated we ask you to sign in (via UAE PASS or Google) so we have a real email to send the report to. Free reports aren't archived against your profile, so keep the link or download the PDF on the report page if you want to come back to it later. The quiz collects your name, nationality, date of birth, salary, spend figures, merchants, and perk preferences — we don't ask for Emirates ID, passport, or salary slips. KYC happens on the bank's site if you apply.

Three tools, three intents. The Card Picker (this page) gives you a personalised recommendation in two minutes — best when you don't want to research the market yourself. The Cashback Calculator runs the same engine against cards you've already shortlisted with side-by-side maths — best when you've narrowed it down to two or three. Browse the full catalog lets you filter every UAE card by feature, bank, or salary threshold — best when you already know the specific feature you want.
