ADIB Etihad Guest Visa Gold, Etihad Guest Visa Platinum and Exceed Visa Platinum cardholders must now use Visa Airport Companion (VAC) for airport lounge access. The change took effect on 1 October 2026. LoungeKey access ended for these three cards on the same date.
The practical change is the app you use before heading to a lounge. Download Visa Airport Companion and register the eligible card before your next trip.
What's Changing for Your ADIB Card?
ADIB’s notice identifies three affected products. Airport lounge access for these cards is now provided exclusively through Visa Airport Companion.
Affected Cards:
- Etihad Guest Visa Gold
- Etihad Guest Visa Platinum
- Exceed Visa Platinum
Check the full name of your card against this list. Etihad Guest Visa Platinum and Etihad Guest Visa Gold are distinct products; a similar airline or bank name does not make another card part of this update. The same applies to Exceed Visa Platinum and other Exceed cards.
The change replaces LoungeKey as the access channel for the named cards. Use Visa Airport Companion when preparing for a lounge visit from 1 October onward.
What You Need to Do
- Download Visa Airport Companion. Search for the full app name in your phone’s app store.
- Register your eligible ADIB card. Complete registration in the app before departure, so you can check your card’s lounge access while you still have time to prepare.
- Find your participating lounge. Look up the airport and lounge you plan to use, then check its opening hours and entry details in the app.
Choose the lounge for the terminal you will actually depart from. On a journey with a connection, check the lounge at each airport you intend to visit rather than relying on a lounge you used on a previous trip.
Registration is the setup step; admission depends on your card’s lounge benefit and the participating lounge’s entry conditions. Check those details for the card you register before making plans for guests or additional visits.
