This is a fixed deposit that pays you in Etihad Guest Miles, not in money. You lock at least AED 100,000 for 6 or 12 months. A 12-month space earns 1 mile for every AED 1 deposited. A 6-month space earns 0.5 miles for every AED 1. The deposit earns no interest on top of the miles.

How your interest is worked out
There is no interest rate on this product. The return is the miles, and they are fixed by the amount and the term you choose: 1 mile per AED 1 for 12 months, 0.5 miles per AED 1 for 6 months. Each space must hold at least AED 100,000. You can place up to AED 10,000,000 in total, either in one space or spread across as many as 10 spaces.

Closing before the end of the term
You can only close the whole space. Partial withdrawals are not allowed. If you close early, Wio charges a penalty worked out on the deposit amount for every month left in the term, and the month you close in counts as a month left. The penalty is taken from any of your Wio accounts. You keep the miles already credited and can use them without restriction.
