Card face-off
The like-for-like pair on this page: two UAE debit cards, both drawing on your own balance, neither with a salary requirement. They separate on what happens outside the UAE, and they get there by different routes. Sinder zeroes its own markup on the first AED 40,000 a month and settles at the Mastercard rate, so the network's charge stands. Wio charges its published rate when the transaction is billed to the AED account and nothing at all when a matching foreign-currency balance covers it, publishing no position on the network's charge either way.
A side-by-side snapshot of annual fees, salary requirements, and standout benefits.

Sinder Founder Card

Wio Debit Card
On AED 10,000 a month of foreign currency, Sinder Founder Card costs AED 1,020 a year less. Two charges land on the same statement line: the issuer's own markup and the card network's cross-currency charge. A card advertising 0% has usually zeroed the first of them.

The three summary rows are measured at AED 10,000 a month. An allowance product's rate rises once its monthly ceiling is crossed, which is what the rows above show.
Cost is one axis. These are the others, read from each card's own published terms.

They ask different things of you. Wio waives its international transaction fee when you hold and pre-fund a matching foreign-currency balance — free in the currencies it supports, if you top that balance up before you travel and keep enough in it. Fall back to the AED account and its published rate applies to the whole transaction, about AED 2,400 a year at AED 10,000 a month. Sinder asks none of that: no matching balance, no currency list, nothing to fund in advance, up to AED 40,000 a month, though it settles at the Mastercard rate so the network's charge stands. On holding cost Sinder is the simpler one — its plan is free outright, where Wio's Standard account is waived only against a minimum average monthly balance.
