A savings account paying 0.20% p.a. interest on your minimum monthly balance, with a free debit card, cardless withdrawals, and no cheque book.
The Emirates NBD Savings Account is a dirham account for money you want to keep apart from daily spending. It pays 0.2% a year and comes with a debit card, so the money stays reachable at ATMs and in shops. There is no cheque book.
Residents and non-residents can open one, and it can be opened for a child under 18. It can sit next to an Emirates NBD Current Account, which handles salary, bills and cheques.

In a month when your average balance is under AED 3,000, Emirates NBD charges AED 26.25. The average over the month decides the fee, while the lowest balance decides the interest, so the two are measured differently.
The fee is not charged on the Emirati package. It is also not charged on an account opened for a child, until the child turns 18. Closing within 6 months of opening costs AED 105.

Interest is worked out on your minimum monthly balance, which is the lowest balance the account held at any point in the month. Money you add part way through a month does not raise that month's figure, and one large withdrawal lowers it for the whole month. The bank credits the interest to the account twice a year.
