Eyalna is a savings account for a child under 18. The father or legal guardian opens it in the Mbank UAE app, tops it up from their phone and stays in control until the child turns 18. The child gets a debit card linked to the Eyalna account, so pocket money and online purchases stay separate from the parent's own account. The guardian can also give the child their own login to the app.

The guardian does not need to be an Mbank customer first. A new customer registers with UAE PASS, then opens the minor account without opening one for themselves. For the guardian's own banking, see the Mbank Savings Account.

Good to know

Good option for

Parents who want to pay an allowance digitally and let a child spend with a card under limits the parent sets, whether or not the parent banks with Mbank.

Consider another account if

You are not the child's father or legal guardian, or the child is already 18. Compare other savings accounts.

Card limits you can change

Mbank sets the child's card to AED 1,000 a day for shop and online purchases and AED 200 a day for ATM withdrawals. The father or legal guardian can change these limits at any time under Manage Card in the app. The card has no number printed on it, so the guardian shares the card details from the app when the child needs them for an online purchase.

When the child turns 18

The bank notifies the guardian 90 days and 30 days before the child's 18th birthday. At 18 the account converts automatically to an independent account in the child's name. The new adult registers on the Mbank UAE app and links the account, the guardian loses access, and cards issued on the minor account are cancelled and replaced on request.
