Wio Credit Card Changes June 2026: What's Changing and What Stays the Same

Wio Personal is making changes to its credit card benefits, effective June 1, 2026. Here's a full breakdown of what's changing.

What's Changing

Debit Card Cashback Ends June 1, 2026

Cashback on debit card spends is being discontinued. Previously, cardholders on the Plus Plan earned 0.5% on local AED debit transactions and 1% on international foreign currency debit spends. Both will no longer apply from June 1, 2026.

In its place, Wio Personal will introduce a free ENTERTAINER membership starting July 2026. The membership provides buy-one-get-one-free offers on dining, hotels, spas, and attractions across the UAE, accessible directly within the Wio Personal app.

Cashback on Paying Other Credit Cards Reduced

The cashback rate for payments made to other UAE bank credit cards using Wio Credit will drop from 1% to 0.5%, capped at 0.5% of your Wio Credit limit. A minimum spend of AED 5,000 on these payments will be required to qualify. This applies to customers on Wio's Salary and Plus plans.

What Stays the Same

2% cashback on all purchases made using the Wio Credit line remains unchanged, up to AED 2,500 or 1% of credit limit per month (whichever is lower). Multi-currency accounts, virtual card creation, and the integrated app experience are also unaffected.
