Minimum salary
AED 8,000/month

ADIB Ghina Salary Account takes a salary of AED 8,000 or more, shares monthly profit and enters you in cash prize draws based on your average balance.
ADIB Ghina Salary Account is the Ghina account for people who have their pay sent to ADIB. You need a monthly salary of at least AED 8,000 and you must transfer it into the account. In return you get an account you can run your month from, with a debit card and the option of a cheque book, that also shares profit and collects raffle coupons for ADIB's cash prize draws. It is open to UAE nationals and residents. The draws and prizes are the same as on the ADIB Ghina Savings Account, but coupons here are counted on your average monthly balance. That suits a salary account, where money comes in and goes out through the month.

Required
Having your salary paid in is what removes the balance fee. ADIB does not charge it once the account has received a salary of at least AED 5,000 in one of the past three months. Without that, the standard rule applies: AED 26.25 for a month in which the closing balance of any day is under AED 3,000, starting from the second month, or the third if you opened after the 20th. Paying an active ADIB auto, personal or home finance instalment from the account, or receiving a pension, also removes the fee. Closing the account inside its first 6 months costs AED 105.

Profit is calculated once a month and added on the first working day of the next month. The campaign rate is for customers who open a new Ghina Salary Account and transfer their salary within 90 days. It uses the average of the daily closing balances, on new money above your total ADIB balances before the campaign opened. Your monthly profit counts towards the campaign rate and the remainder is paid after the campaign closes. An expected rate is a projection under Mudaraba, where profit is shared once it is achieved.

Banking model
Employees earning AED 8,000 or more who are happy to move their salary to ADIB and carry a balance through the month.
Your salary is under AED 8,000 or has to stay with another bank. The ADIB Ghina Savings Account has the same draws with no salary rule, and salary transfer accounts at other banks are listed separately.
An average monthly balance of AED 1,000 earns Gold coupons for the Monthly Draw, one for each AED 1,000. An average of AED 20,000 earns Platinum coupons for the quarterly Grand Draw, one for each AED 20,000. If the average drops below those levels you lose the coupons of that type and start again. The Grand Draw pays AED 1 million to one winner. Monthly prizes are AED 10,000 for 10 winners, AED 5,000 for 10 winners and AED 2,000 for 25 winners. Prizes are funded by ADIB's shareholders and awarded at the bank's discretion.
