ADIB Ghina Savings Account is a savings account with two ways to gain. First, it shares profit with you each month, at the same declared rates as the ADIB Savings Account. Second, your balance earns raffle coupons for cash prize draws that ADIB runs every month and every quarter. You can open it as an individual without moving your salary, in AED, US dollars or British pounds, and you can take money out at any time with the debit card, which works in AED. Account holders are also enrolled automatically in a Sharia-compliant Takaful protection scheme at no extra cost. There is no cheque book.

Fees and balance

Keeping the account free and keeping your draw entries are separate tests. For the fee, ADIB checks the daily closing balance: a month with any day under AED 3,000 is charged AED 26.25. The opening month is exempt, and charging starts from the second month, or the third when the account was opened after the 20th. An account that pays an instalment on an active ADIB auto, personal or home finance, or that receives a pension, is not charged. If you close the account within 6 months of opening you pay AED 105, and closing before a draw date also removes you from that draw.

In plain words

Fall-below fee
A monthly charge for holding less than the balance the bank asks for. Here it is AED 26.25, charged in a month when your balance is under AED 3,000. It is not charged in a month when you stay at or above that amount. More on this
Account closure fee
A one-off charge of AED 105 for closing the account within 6 months of opening it. Closing it later costs nothing. More on this

In plain words

Profit rate
An Islamic account does not pay interest. It pays you a share of what the bank earns on your money. The profit rate is that share as a yearly percentage of your balance. More on this
Balance bands
The rate changes with how much you hold. Each band is a range of balance with its own rate. More on this
Which balance counts
The return is worked out on the average of your daily balances, so every day's balance counts equally. More on this
New funds
Money you add on top of what you already held with the bank. A rate marked for new funds is paid on that added amount only, not on your existing balance. More on this
Declared rate
The bank announces the profit rate for each period after the period ends. The rate shown is the one announced for July 2026. More on this

profit earned over time

Profit is shared under Mudaraba and declared after each month. Below AED 5,000 there is no profit. The campaign rate for newly opened Ghina Savings Accounts is worked out on the average of your daily closing balances, on new money over and above everything you held with the bank before the campaign opened. Monthly profit counts towards that rate and the remainder is paid after the campaign ends. Expected means the bank projects the rate from its investments, with profit shared once it is achieved.

Good to know

Good option for

Savers who can leave at least AED 20,000 untouched for months at a time, since that is what builds Grand Draw entries, and who do not want to move their salary.

Consider another account if

You dip into savings often. One day below a draw threshold clears those coupons, and one day below AED 3,000 brings the monthly fee. If your salary can move, the ADIB Ghina Salary Account counts draws on your average balance instead.

How the prize draws work

Each full calendar month in which your daily closing balance stays at AED 1,000 or more earns one Gold coupon for every AED 1,000 held, for the Monthly Draw. Staying at AED 20,000 or more earns one Platinum coupon for every AED 20,000, for the Grand Draw held each quarter. The Grand Draw has one winner of AED 1 million. The Monthly Draw pays AED 10,000 to 10 winners, AED 5,000 to 10 winners and AED 2,000 to 25 winners. Coupons are used up once they have been through a draw, and one person can hold at most 1,000 coupons per draw.

What makes you lose coupons

If your balance falls below AED 20,000 at any time, every Platinum coupon you have collected is cancelled and counting restarts. The same happens to Gold coupons if the balance goes below AED 1,000. Prizes come from ADIB shareholders' funds and are awarded at the bank's discretion, so they are a possible extra and not part of the account's return.

Frequently asked questions

Get answers to common questions about the ADIB Ghina Savings Account

You need at least one raffle coupon. Keeping a daily closing balance of AED 1,000 for a full calendar month earns Gold coupons for the Monthly Draw, and keeping AED 20,000 earns Platinum coupons for the quarterly Grand Draw. Funding a new account with AED 20,000 on the day you open it also earns one welcome coupon for the Grand Draw.

The Grand Draw pays AED 1 million to one winner every quarter. Each Monthly Draw pays AED 10,000 to each of 10 winners, AED 5,000 to each of 10 winners and AED 2,000 to each of 25 winners. Prizes are paid in cash into the winner's account.

No. The Ghina Savings Account is opened by individuals without a salary transfer, and it has no minimum salary.

Yes. It is a Mudaraba account, so ADIB invests your money and shares the achieved profit with you. Profit is paid monthly on balances of AED 5,000 or more. The prizes are separate from profit and are funded by the bank's shareholders.

It depends on where your balance lands. Dropping below AED 20,000 cancels all your Platinum coupons and any welcome coupon, and dropping below AED 1,000 cancels all your Gold coupons. A new counting cycle then begins.

Customers who open a new Ghina Savings Account between 1 July 2026 and 31 October 2026 and add new money of AED 50,000 to AED 25,000,000 from outside ADIB. Your total ADIB balances must also stay at or above their level on 30 June 2026 throughout the campaign. ADIB staff are not eligible.

Yes. A Ghina account can be opened in AED, US dollars or British pounds. The debit card withdraws in AED only, and draw thresholds for foreign-currency accounts use the bank's exchange rate on the coupon calculation date.
