Liv Fixed Deposit
AED 5,000 minimum deposit
Interest rate: 2% p.a., paid monthly
Withdrawals: To your primary account only
No monthly fee

A term deposit that pays the whole tenure's interest into your Liv account on the day you book it, rather than waiting for maturity. From AED 5,000.
Opened from inside the Liv app. You need a Liv Primary Account first.
Liv asks for this on the Contact details screen when you open your account.
The Liv Instant Interest Fixed Deposit pays its interest on day one rather than at maturity. Interest arriving at the start is money you can use for the whole tenure instead of money you wait for. On a 12-month deposit that is a full year of having it. If you put it straight back into a Goal Account on Liv Max it compounds; if you spend it, it has simply arrived early. Either way the headline rate understates the effective return slightly, because the cash is in your hands sooner than the maturity date implies.
Interest Paid Upfront
The whole tenure's interest lands when you book, not at maturity
This is the product's only real distinction. The interest is paid into your Liv Primary Account immediately, so the money is available to use or reinvest while the principal stays locked.
Six Tenure Options
1, 2, 3, 4, 6 or 12 months
Shorter tenures than most UAE fixed deposits offer, which suits money you want back inside a year. The rate depends on which you pick.
Early Withdrawal With Penalty
Withdraw early and keep pro-rata interest, less 1% a year
There is no fee to break the deposit. Interest is recalculated at the rate that applied when you booked, for the time elapsed, minus a 1% a year penalty. Partial withdrawals are not offered — it is all or nothing.
Tenures run one, two, three, four, six or twelve months, with nothing longer. That suits money with a known call on it, such as a fee due next term or a payment in the spring, more than money you are parking indefinitely. If your horizon is beyond a year this is the wrong product and the Flexi deposit, which pays a lower headline rate on a longer term, is the one to look at.

The rate depends on the tenure you book.
You can withdraw before maturity and there is no fee for doing so. Instead the interest is recalculated at the rate that applied on the booking date for the period actually elapsed, minus a penalty of 1% a year. Since the interest was already paid upfront, breaking the deposit means giving some of it back. An ordinary broken deposit simply pays you less than expected; this one pays you first and reclaims the difference, though the arithmetic is similar. Partial withdrawal is not offered, so the decision is the whole deposit or none of it.

A Liv Primary Account
Interest and principal are both credited back to it.
This deposit does not suit anyone who might need part of the money. The all-or-nothing redemption makes it a poor emergency fund, and the Goal Account, accessible any time with no penalty and paying a comparable rate on Liv Max, is the better home for money whose timing you are unsure about. The deposit earns its place when the date is genuinely fixed.
