Etihad Guest

Etihad Guest is Etihad Airways' loyalty programme, earned directly through ADCB, FAB, ENBD and Emirates Islamic co-branded cards spanning salary tiers from AED 8,000 to AED 40,000+.

As with any airline programme, what your balance is actually worth depends on how you redeem it — flights and upgrades pay roughly double the lower-value cash-statement option, and only make sense if Etihad is an airline you actually fly.

How Etihad Guest works

Etihad Guest is Etihad Airways' frequent-flyer programme, with UAE co-brand cards issued by four banks — ADCB, FAB, ENBD, and Emirates Islamic. Like Skywards, cards credit Etihad Guest Miles directly to your account based on spend; the number that matters isn't the headline earn rate alone, it's what those Miles are actually worth once you redeem them.

What your Etihad Guest balance is worth

What your points are worth

Program

Etihad Guest Miles

2,500AED

50,000 miles via Etihad Guest flights & upgrades

Redemption method

Estimate based on published redemption rates — actual value varies by redemption date, route and availability.

Etihad Guest Miles redeem for Etihad award flights, cabin upgrades and partner-airline travel — typically worth around AED 0.05/mile at that rate. The lower-value cash-statement redemption via Etihad Guest returns about half that (~AED 0.025/mile). As with Skywards, that higher value only holds if you actually fly Etihad; otherwise, treat your balance as worth closer to the cash rate.

Why Etihad Guest cards are worth it

1.

Four issuers, one programme

ADCB, FAB, ENBD and Emirates Islamic all issue Etihad Guest co-brand cards — more salary-tier choice than any single-bank programme, from AED 8,000 (FAB Platinum) to AED 40,000+ (ADCB Infinite).

2.

Welcome bonuses can clear the first-year fee

Top-tier cards like ADCB Etihad Guest Infinite include large welcome Mile offers (60,000 Miles) that, redeemed on flights, can be worth more than the annual fee in year one.

3.

Pick by airline, not by headline rate

Etihad Guest and Skywards earn at broadly comparable rates at equivalent salary tiers — the deciding factor should be which airline you actually fly, not which card's headline rate is marginally higher.

Etihad Guest — FAQ

Get answers to common questions about credit cards, applications, and managing your finances in the UAE

On Etihad award flights and upgrades, an Etihad Guest Mile is typically worth around AED 0.05. Via the lower-value cash redemption, it's worth about half that, around AED 0.025. Use the miles-to-AED calculator to check your actual balance.

ADCB Etihad Guest Infinite is the top tier (AED 40,000+ salary) with the highest earn rate and a 60,000-Mile welcome bonus. FAB Etihad Guest Platinum is the most accessible entry point at AED 8,000 salary.

Match the card to the airline you fly. A Skywards Mile only pays off well on Emirates/flydubai flights; an Etihad Guest Mile only pays off well on Etihad flights. See the Skywards vs Etihad Guest comparison for a full breakdown.

No — unlike some other UAE loyalty cards, every direct Etihad Guest co-brand card carries an annual fee. FAB Etihad Guest Platinum (AED 8,000+ salary) is the lowest-fee entry point across the four issuers.

No — the two programmes are entirely separate loyalty currencies with no direct transfer path between them. Each co-brand card credits Miles only to its own programme, so pick the card that matches the airline you actually fly.

Through the Etihad Guest website or app once your co-branded card is linked to your membership number — Miles typically post to your account within a few days of your card statement closing.
