ADCB Instant Tourist Account is a dirham savings account visitors open in the app on a tourist or visit visa. It runs for up to six months, then closes.
The ADCB Instant Tourist Account is a temporary bank account for people visiting the UAE. You open it in the ADCB mobile app while you are in the country, using your passport and a valid tourist or visit visa. It holds dirhams only and pays no interest. You get a digital debit card for shops, ATMs, online payments and digital wallets inside the UAE, and you can make local transfers. It is not a route into regular UAE banking: while it is open you cannot hold any other ADCB product, and it cannot be turned into a resident account. Residents should look at the ADCB Current Account.
18 years

You must be physically in the UAE when you open the account.

There is no minimum balance, but a monthly maintenance fee of AED 26.25 applies. ADCB waives it in a month when your average balance is AED 2,500 or more. The digital debit card is free, while a physical card costs AED 52.50 to issue. Cash withdrawals at ADCB ATMs are free and cost AED 2.10 at other banks' machines in the UAE. Visitors staying for weeks or months who want a local dirham account and card, and can keep AED 2,500 in it to avoid the monthly fee.
You hold a UAE residence visa, or you want savings products, a cheque book or credit. None of these is available with the tourist account.
The account stays open until the earliest of three events: your visa stops being valid, ADCB is notified that you have left the UAE, or six months pass. A seven-day grace period applies. It is then blocked and closed. If you obtain a UAE residence visa, the tourist account must be closed and a new resident account opened.
When you open the account you register one bank account abroad, held in your own name. International transfers can go only to that account, and when the tourist account closes, any balance left is sent there too. Currency conversion applies to that transfer, so exchange rate movements affect the amount you receive.
