The ADCB Islamic Savings Account is a Sharia-compliant place to keep money you do not need day to day. It runs on Mudaraba. You supply the money, ADCB Islamic Banking invests it in Sharia-compliant business and financing, and the profit from that is shared with you. The return therefore depends on how the investments perform and is not guaranteed. The account is in dirhams, comes with a debit card, and has no cheque book. UAE residents and non-residents can both open one with AED 5,000. Savers who want to enter prize draws can look at the Millionaire Destiny Savings Account.

Fees and balance

What you pay each month is decided at customer level. ADCB Islamic Banking adds up your relationship and charges one fee for it. A savings balance counts, so keeping AED 20,000 or more across your accounts, deposits and investments brings the fee to zero. The fee is also waived for a salary of AED 15,000 or more credited directly, and for a smaller salary held together with a credit card or finance from ADCB Islamic Banking. Otherwise it is AED 25 a month for customers who transfer a smaller salary and AED 100 a month for other Aspire customers. An account closed after 30 days and before six months costs AED 105.

In plain words

Fee levels
The monthly fee has more than one level. The condition you meet decides which one applies, and you pay that one level only, never the levels added together. More on this
Account closure fee
A one-off charge of AED 105 for closing the account within 6 months of opening it. Closing it later costs nothing. Closing within the first 30 days carries no charge either. More on this

In plain words

Profit rate
An Islamic account does not pay interest. It pays you a share of what the bank earns on your money. The profit rate is that share as a yearly percentage of your balance. More on this
Which balance counts
The return is worked out on the lowest balance the account held during the month, so a withdrawal lowers the return for that whole month. More on this
Declared rate
The bank announces the profit rate for each period after the period ends. The rate shown is the one announced for Q2 2026. More on this

profit earned over time

ADCB Islamic Banking works the profit out monthly on your minimum balance, which is the lowest point your balance reached in the month. A single large withdrawal therefore lowers the profit for that whole month. Payment is made into the account, as long as it has not been closed before the payout.
