Minimum deposit
AED 10,000

DIB Maximiser Wakala Deposit is an 18-month deposit from AED 10,000 whose expected profit rate steps up every month, with profit paid at maturity.
An existing account with DIB is required, such as DIB Al Islami Current Account.
The Maximiser has one tenure, 18 months, and a lower entry point than DIB's other lump-sum Wakala deposits: AED 10,000. What sets it apart is how profit builds. Instead of one flat rate for the whole term, each month has its own expected rate, starting low in the first month and rising every month to the last. The monthly amounts are added up and paid together when the deposit matures. It is a Wakala deposit in dirhams, so the bank invests the money as your agent, and you need an existing DIB current or savings account. For a flat expected rate and a choice of shorter terms, look at the Retail Wakala Deposit.

Profit is paid at maturity. Monthly applicable rates for months 1–18 are 0.50%, 3.10%, 3.30%, 3.50%, 3.70%, 3.90%, 4.00%, 4.20%, 4.40%, 4.60%, 4.65%, 4.70%, 4.75%, 4.80%, 4.85%, 4.90%, 4.95% and 5.00%. Premature withdrawal deducts a penal rate of 0.5% from the profit rate applicable to the total elapsed period.

Expected annual profit rates
Tenure
Uses the expected profit rates. The amount and the rate stay the same for the whole period, and the profit is paid out, not added to the balance. Try other rates

The rising monthly schedule means the later months contribute more than the early ones, so the deposit rewards staying to the end. Leaving in the opening months therefore earns little. The rates are expected rates based on past performance. The bank does not guarantee them, and you receive the profit the investment actually produces up to that level.
Rising Monthly Rates
Each month of the 18-month term has its own expected rate, increasing month by month.
Automatic Renewal Option
The principal can be reinvested for another 18 months when the deposit matures.
Shariah-compliant
Banking model
Fully digital, no branch visit
Account opening
Savers with AED 10,000 or more who can commit for exactly 18 months and are confident they will not break the deposit.
You might need the money within the first year, when the stepped rates are still low, or you want profit paid out during the term.
