How Many Voyager Miles Does a Real Flight Booking Actually Cost?

A real Voyager Travel Portal flight booking, worked through the exact Miles math and checked against the open market.

The Real Example: Dubai to Paris, Round-Trip Economy

A search on the Voyager Travel Portal for a Dubai (DXB) to Paris (CDG) round-trip, economy class, direct on Air France, for a 7-night trip, returned a total price of AED 2,381 for one passenger.

At the fixed Voyager Travel Portal rate of 100 Miles = AED 1, that's the equivalent of:

  • AED 2,381 × 100 = 238,100 Voyager Miles

That's the full-Miles cost of this booking.

How This Compares to the Open Market

Air France's own site lists round-trip economy fares on Dubai-Paris from AED 3,160, with a lowest recent direct fare found of AED 2,329. The Voyager Travel Portal's AED 2,381 quote sits within that range, close to the low end.

You Don't Need the Full Amount in Miles

The portal doesn't require paying 100% in Miles — it lets you apply however many Miles you have and cover the rest by card. In this same portal example, a cardholder with a balance of 2,440 Miles (worth AED 24.40) applied all of it and paid the remaining AED 2,356.60 by card, for the same AED 2,381 total. A partial Miles balance still reduces what a booking costs in cash, even far short of the full 238,100 Miles.

Where to Go From Here

Both Voyager World and Voyager World Elite earn toward the same Miles balance used in this example, at the same fixed portal redemption rate — they differ only in how fast Miles accumulate. For the full earn-rate breakdown and a live calculator, see the ENBD Voyager card comparison or the Voyager World vs World Elite face-off. To convert your own current Miles balance into AED, use the miles-to-AED calculator.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Get answers to common questions about credit cards, applications, and managing your finances in the UAE

In a real Voyager Travel Portal example, a Dubai-Paris round-trip economy flight, direct on Air France, priced at AED 2,381 total — the equivalent of 238,100 Voyager Miles at the fixed rate.

238,100 Voyager Miles (AED 2,381 x 100), at the fixed 100 Miles = AED 1 redemption rate.

No. The Voyager Travel Portal lets you pay with a mix of Miles and card currency, exactly as shown in the example — a partial Miles balance still reduces the cash cost of a booking.

For this one example, roughly yes — Air France's own comparable Dubai-Paris economy round-trip fares run AED 2,329-3,160+ via public aggregators, and the Voyager Travel Portal's AED 2,381 quote sits within that range.

Yes — 36 months from when they're earned.
