DIB Al Islami E-Savings Account

The E-Savings Account is a dirham savings account that exists only in DIB's online and mobile banking. You cannot open it as a new customer. You need an active Al Islami Current, Savings or 2-in-1 account first, plus access to online or mobile banking, and you open it yourself from there. It has no balance requirement, so there is no fee for keeping a small amount in it. Like the branch-based Al Islami Savings Account, it shares profit under Mudaraba, where the bank invests depositors' money in a pool and divides the net result. E-Savings balances carry a larger weighting in that pool than standard savings balances.

In plain words

Profit rate
An Islamic account does not pay interest. It pays you a share of what the bank earns on your money. The profit rate is that share as a yearly percentage of your balance. More on this
Which balance counts
The return is worked out on your average balance across the month, so money held for only part of the month counts in proportion. More on this
Declared rate
The bank announces the profit rate for each period after the period ends. The rate shown is the one announced for Q2 2026. More on this

1 year

No profit is calculated for a month if the minimum balance drops below AED 1,000 or more than 1 withdrawal is made in that month.

Uses the rate declared for Q2 2026. The amount and the rate stay the same for the whole period, and the profit is paid out, not added to the balance. Try other rates

AED 20

profit over 1 year

0.2%

a year

profit earned over time

No rate is fixed ahead of time, because the figure depends on what the investment pool earned. If either profit rule is broken, the account is treated as a current account for that month and gets no profit. So it works for money you move in from your main account and leave alone, taking it out in a single withdrawal when it is needed.
