ADCB Essential Cashback Credit Card

ADCB is moving the Essential Cashback Credit Card from a flat 1% structure to a tiered model: 1% on monthly spends below AED 5,000, 1.25% on monthly spends of AED 5,000 or more, plus a new 0.75% rate on select categories (supermarket, fuel, utilities, telecom, government, education, real estate and more). Payments via ADCB channels (bill payments, school fees) move to 0% cashback, and the AED 70 cinema cashback is replaced by a Buy-1-Get-1 offer at Reel Cinemas.

Supermarket, charity, fuel, utility, government, telecom, salik, transport, auto dealer, education, insurance, real estate agents, housing rentals, and eligible spends at merchants located within the European Union. Categories are determined by merchant category codes assigned by the merchant's acquiring bank.

You need to spend at least AED 1,000 in eligible retail transactions in a calendar month to earn any cashback for that month.

Yes. Total cashback earned in any calendar month is capped at AED 1,000 across all earning tiers and categories combined.

Bill payments, school fees, and any transactions processed through ADCB channels (such as the ADCB app's bill payment service) are not eligible for cashback. The same spend made directly at a merchant via the card is eligible at the category's published rate.

You need a minimum monthly salary of AED 5,000. The card is free for life with no joining or annual fee.
