ADCB Islamic Elite Account combines a cheque book and debit card with profit on your balance, declared at 0.2% a year and paid every quarter.
The Elite Account from ADCB Islamic Banking sits between a current account and a savings account. Like a current account, it gives you a cheque book and a debit card, and you can run your salary and payments through it. Like a savings account, it shares profit on the money you leave in it. That is the difference from the ADCB Islamic Current Account, which pays no profit at all. It is for UAE residents, comes in dirhams, US dollars, pounds and euros, and opens with AED 5,000.

No minimum
Not required
No fee is charged for the Elite Account as a product. ADCB Islamic Banking applies a relationship fee instead, set once per customer from everything you hold. If your total relationship balance is AED 20,000 or more, the fee is zero, and the money in your Elite Account counts toward that. A salary of AED 15,000 or more credited directly by your employer also removes it. So does a smaller salary if you have a credit card or finance from ADCB Islamic Banking. With a smaller salary and neither of those, you pay AED 25 a month. Customers in the Aspire segment who meet none of the conditions pay AED 100. Closing the account between 30 days and six months after opening costs AED 105.

Profit is calculated each month on the minimum balance, meaning the lowest amount the account held that month. A declared rate describes a quarter that has ended. It is not a promise for the next one, because the profit is not guaranteed. To be paid, the account must still be open when the quarterly payout is made.
Cheque Book
A free cheque book is issued on dirham accounts.
Debit Card
A debit card is issued with the account.
Four Currencies
Available in dirhams, US dollars, British pounds and euros.
Quarterly Profit
Profit is calculated on the minimum monthly balance and paid every quarter.
Shariah-compliant
Banking model
Residents who want one Sharia-compliant account for salary, cheques and card spending, and would like the idle balance to share in profit.
Profit is your priority. The ADCB Islamic Super Saver carries a higher expected rate on balances from AED 50,000.
