MCC 7011: Hotels

MCC 7011 classifies merchants recorded as lodging - hotels, motels, resorts, central reservation services (not elsewhere classified). It describes the business accepting the payment, not the exact item you bought.

Most banks show a spending category in the app or statement instead of the four-digit MCC. Use that category to narrow down likely codes, then ask the issuer for the exact code on the posted transaction if you need to confirm it.

Start with the linked spending-category card collection. A card's eligibility and rewards depend on the issuer's terms and its eligible MCCs, so check those rules before choosing.

Card issuers can apply different reward rules to merchant codes, payment channels and excluded transactions. A checkout processed by another merchant account may also appear under another MCC.
